Joann Abrams Jo Ann practices elder law, including guardianship, probate and asset protection planning, as well as drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts and durable powers of attorney. She has been a title insurance agent since 1987, with Attorney's Title Insurance Company and handles real estate closings.

As part of handling estate and guardianship matters, Jo Ann has a team of people working for her that appraise estate property including artwork, jewelry, antiques and real estate. Her team also handles inventories and sale of both real and personal property.

In her elder law practice, Jo Ann works closely with geriatric care managers, who supervise the personal care of elderly clients; aides and companions, who can provide in home care; as well as various assisted living and nursing home facilities in Florida.

She is a member of a number of networking organizations that include professionals working with elderly clients. Jo Ann will visit the elderly client in their home and work with their family to help coordinate any care that is needed.

Another area of Jo Ann's practice includes negotiating and drafting documents for small businesses, such as shareholder agreements, partnership agreements and buy sell agreements.

She has also practiced entertainment law and has negotiated and drafted numerous recording company agreements, publishing agreements and production agreements.

Jo Ann has been admitted to the Florida bar for 15 years since graduating Nova Law School.

When Jo Ann is not practicing law, she rides her horse J.P. or paints watercolors. She has been a scuba diver, golfer, roller blader, skier and loves to travel and collect antiques, books and robots. She also has an extensive Star Trek collection.
